What wax do you use in your candles?
All Khora Living candles are hand-poured with a natural blend of coconut and rapeseed wax.
We do not use paraffin. Our wax is responsibly sourced, burns cleaner, and provides a more even and longer-lasting burn than traditional candles.
Are your fragrances natural?
Our fragrance oils are 100% free of phthalates, parabens, silicones, and are cruelty-free.
We use a combination of natural and safe compounds to create balanced, complex, and long-lasting fragrances.
We value transparency — if you have any questions about a specific ingredient, we will be happy to help.
Are your products vegan?
Yes. All Khora Living candles and diffusers are vegan-friendly.
We do not use beeswax or animal-derived ingredients.
Are your products cruelty-free?
Yes. None of our products or ingredients are tested on animals.
Can I reuse the candle jar?
Yes, and we encourage you to do so.
After the candle has burned out, remove any remaining wax with warm water, carefully wash the jar, and reuse it as a vase, organizer, or decorative container.
Our jars are designed to last.
How do I get the best burn from my candle?
Trim the wick to 5mm before each use.
On the first burn, allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar — this helps prevent tunnelling and extends the life of the candle.
Avoid burning for more than 4 hours at a time.
Why is the first firing so important?
Coconut and rapeseed wax has "memory".
If the candle is extinguished before the wax melts to the edges on the first use, it will tend to tunnel in subsequent burns, wasting some of the wax.
Take your time with the first burn — it makes all the difference.
My candle is producing black smoke. What should I do?
Typically, this means the wick needs trimming. Extinguish the candle, let it cool completely, and trim the wick to 5mm before relighting.
The formation of a small "mushroom" at the tip of the wick is a common sign that it needs maintenance.
How should I use my diffuser?
Remove the stopper from the bottle and insert the sticks.
Allow 24–48 hours for the oil to saturate the sticks before assessing the fragrance intensity.
For a more intense diffusion, flip the sticks every 3–4 days.
How long does my diffuser last?
Each KHÖRA LIVING diffuser lasts approximately 8–10 weeks under normal conditions.
Duration may vary depending on room temperature, air circulation, and how often you flip the reeds.
